And a few days after I had continued work on my Christmas project, I got a follow-up 'how are you doing' and 'can we help you in any way'. I am so impressed with how Smilebox folks handled my situation and the speed with which they did so. I did change a number subscriptions and computer uses during the COVID years. Approaching 80, my memory is not quite what it was. Within 24 hours, I received a detailed message proving that I had indeed canceled my subscription and then listed exactly what I needed to do to get up and running with any project I had tried to create. I immediately contacted Smilebox customer service. When I tried to create my annual Holiday message sent out to all friends and relatives, a screen note told me that I was no longer a paid-up user. I have been a Smilebox user for over 4 years and have been extremely happy with the ease of use and variety of presentations in constructing online projects. It is the only element of the service that is short of stellar. Forgive me for not acknowledging your humanity! I would still encourage them, though, to consider a live-chat or phone option for customer service. I misunderstood the reference to them being the “Smilebox WEB” and “The Voice of Customer Service” and presumed they were a bot. *Amendment* After clarification-and in case you’re the type of person who reads the review but not the response-my Smilebox customer service experience was a with a human after all. On the other hand, you PROBABLY won’t need customer service. The lack of any sort of real-time or near real-time communication with a real person (or a competent bot) is a bit outdated. Their customer service, though, is very slow and difficult to interact with. The personalized e-card-especially with the music component-can really deliver an touching and emotional moment. One great service with one flaw to consider
